Masterbuilders’ Album – entitled “Youth Is Wasted On The Young” 7 Track Preview.
Tracklisting below - All feedback welcomed on the forum.
Hi there good folks and fans of good music. Once again I’d like to welcome you to the Masterbuilders website...
Props to the new and talented producers who have just joined the Builders and are helping to shape the sound of the MBs – they are currently co-producing tracks for the album, I will deffo speak more on them at a later date.
I am however pleased to finally be in a position to present, for your listening pleasure, 7 sample tracks from our forthcoming debut album, working title “Youth Is Wasted On The Young”, which will ultimately feature 19 eclectic songs.
Q: Why 7 samples?
A: It is my favourite number, and represents the 7 days of the week
Q: Why an eclectic album?
A: I am first and foremost a music fan, and don’t subscribe to the common perception that people should favour only one or two genres of music. My music collection comprises pretty much every type of music you can think of, and I have endeavoured to reflect this broad passion for soulful music in the tracks I have selected for the album.
Peeps always seem to have a problem with the word eclectic when it comes to long players, but I believe if the beats are strong enough to create a back-drop & the lyrics are strong and creatively hold the audience, then eclectic certainly can work.
Q: What format will the Masterbuilders album take?
A: We are still undecided on this one – it will either be a double album, with disk 1 repping the up-tempo grooves and disk 2 representing the more down-tempo and mid-tempo joints, or the other option we have is a single concept album, the idea for which has already been fine-tuned. Whatever road we decide to take, I promise it will be worth the wait!
I would ask you to take some time out to have a listen - all feedback most welcome, so please feel free to comment about any of the tracks on our forum.
Keep your eyes on the site, as further album news will be posted on a weekly basis.
And watch out for some Big! Big! surprises via the album – less said, P’s the word!!!
